With Cory playing General Washington and Minkus playing King George, Mr. Feeny tries to stir up some lively discussion on history but Cory doesn't really care. He's more interested in his future which leads Feeny to assign the class their own personal history. They have to imagine what their lives would be like in 20 years, including personal histories leading up to it. Shawn plans to go to their class "pre-union" as a tire salesman since that's what his dad does and he's familiar with the work. Cory gets his mom to help him make all the props for his fabulous future as a center fielder for the Philadelphia Phillies. Morgan interrupts them and reveals that she traded Amy's necklace for a plastic one. When Amy calls the mother of Stephanie, the girl Morgan made the trade with, she finds that the mother refuses to give back the gold necklace.

Meanwhile, Claire (Kelly Rutherford) is concerned about history repeating itself with Taylor (Hayley Erin), who is working on her Beacon Guard system when she gets a notification that an intruder is nearby. Following the Perfectionists' success in recording proof of Dana's (Klea Scott) corruption, it also looks like Claire receives the info and isn't happy about it. "They're trying to dig themselves out of a hole," she tells someone. "That hole gets deeper and darker."

Outer Banks Season 3 will finally explore Kiara Carrera and JJ Maybank's romantic potential after Season 2 set up new storylines for the Netflix series. That long-awaited progression raises the question of how Jiara will differ from John B Routledge's flirtation with Kiara and her relationship with Pope Heyward. The answer lies in the question: They are different dynamics that each have unique purposes to impact the characters' trajectories. Jiara can't repeat history, but it will help it make more sense.

As for that history, John B and Kiara's romantic potential is so short-lived in Season 1 that it doesn't even have time to create a real spark, and Outer Banks follows Pope and Kiara's relationship to a reasonable end in Season 2. The only superficial similarity the romantic pairings share is that JJ and Kiara will continue to break the Pogues' golden rule: No Pogue-on-Pogue macking. Outer Banks' past two seasons demonstrate that Jiara will stand apart by consistently -- sometimes quietly -- showcasing that JJ and Kiara complement and challenge each other in ways that the other pairings will never match.

Because the pair shared their first kiss in the Season 1 finale, Outer Banks only explored Kiara and Pope as a romantic pairing in Season 2, which features a treasure hunt related to Pope's family history. The show planted doubt in their relationship early on when Pope questions whether physical intimacy could ruin their friendship in Season 2, Episode 4, "Homecoming." His concerns aren't in vain as their dynamic becomes uncomfortable afterward, and the series starts to overtly reveal that Kiara and Pope are on different pages about their relationship. 041b061a72
